2025 Media Overview - March edition

Alright, here’s some media that I’ve watched/read/played or am currently following in the first three months of 2025! As usual, it will be categorized into 3-4 sections, and most of these are just mini-reviews!

Anime

Kusuriya No Hitorigoto S2  
Finally caught up to the latest episode. I already read the manga before S2 aired, and this covers one of my favorite arcs! I think we should be covering the Loulan & her family arcs soon (or I might be wrong). The anime pacing is good as usual, and Jinshi also looks beautiful as the moon goddess. After the Anshi arc, it will get serious if they still keep the 2-cour format. And as usual, Lihua-sama looks gorgeous in the anime.


Manga


Mairimashita! Iruma-kun
Damn, ngl, Clara’s evil cycle looks hot. Nishi once again shows her freakiness. Clara clearly embodies kinky play that revolves around roleplaying, in this case, caretaker or age-play kink. This arc is good, giving Clara more depth, and I wish we could meet her dad this case caretaker or age play kink. This arc is good giving Clara more depth and wish we could meet her dad

Madan no Ichi
Desscarass is really shaping up to be my favorite shonen adult character. It’s refreshing to finally see an adult character in shonen who doesn’t want to leave everything to the teen protagonist! I already love the dynamic between the trio. Jishikirone’s design is so fucking good. Now I wonder if they want to make the redheaded guy a male witch too? Also, he’s apparently an augmented human... I wonder how the males in Madan no Ichi fare, considering only women are witches there.

Utsushicha Dame-na Kao
Okay, the drama seems to be getting good here, and God, I’m really invested in the Misa x Io x Mane-san dynamic. I wonder who’s that woman in Misa’s flashback? And also, are we just having a paparazzi scandal soon?

Zenbu Kowashite Jigoku de Aishite

Okay, Zenkowa seems to be on the right track. Kokoro and Naoi’s ex will definitely be partners in crime, and this chapter kinda redeems Kokoro a bit, in my opinion. At least now she’s trying to have agency, and I think I wouldn’t mind if she ends up being a yandere.

Kyou wa Kanojo ga Inai Kara

Please save Fuuko from this shitfest. And also, who’s that WOMAN??? Please save Fuuko, megane-onna!

Madara Moyou no Yoi

Finally, this manga got translated & I have been interested to read this because it was created by my favorite BL author, Asada Nemui (My Little Inferno, Sleeping Dead, Dear My God, etc) Anyway the mabga as usual as has this Asada-sensei touch with a bit of violence, dark theme, mild gore, & psychological staff I still read for like 3-4 chapters in but I can say it's fantastic with a hint mystery. also this is probably the closest thing Asada-sense do yuri because there's a hint of yuribait. I will give my impressions again after I finish marathoning


Game

Of the Devil

I just played Episode 0 for free and was interested because I saw reviews saying it’s similar to Ace Attorney. Morgan is such a good protagonist—I love her and she really has that seinen protag vibe. Overall, I love the gameplay and mechanics, and the world-building is also great! I think it’s one of the good cyberpunk series that utilizes the “mega corpo rules everything” trope well. I’m thinking of buying Episode 1 later.
