About Madoka movie
Tuesday, 25 February 2025 21:29Honestly, as much I am excited about new Madoka movie but I cannot help feel anxious somehow.
Like there's part of me that wish this will be the end of Madoka series or to be exact Homura story, I feel like Madomagi doesn't need to prolong its story. it's the kind of works that just no need for long-running.
However I saw a post in tumblr how this movie is just the ''beginning" and stuff, like it make me feel uneasy.
Really not a fan for Aniplex and SHAFT to milking the series like this....I guess Aniplex wanted their own Evangelion since Madomagi is on same level like Evangelion in terms of cultural phenomenon.
But as someone who cares about the 'health' of the series I think this series has no reasons to follow rebuild path a la Evangelion or continuity series. I really want this series to have closure, like whether Homura being happy or not I don't care (but I want homu homu to be happy though) I just need closure & end of this series. Maybe Urobuchi will prove me wrong since Rebellion was great, but I still keep my expectation lower...
My ideal ending is that incubator is dissapear & the concept of magical girls are gone, Homura & Madoka can be two gods together to maintain universe. That's honestly best ending imo. I just want Homura to be happy man....like this almost like Phosphophyllite-level suffering with how much Homura went thru'.
Still, I am excited about Kaiten and hope it also got licensed on my local cinema.
