Like, I feel people have the wrong expectations about the Xenoblade series. They think it’s like most JRPGs: Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest, Tales, etc.
Where each entry is standalone and doesn’t share a universe. So they expect every new Xenoblade game to be set in a brand-new world with no connection to the previous ones.

Thursday, 17 April 2025 09:14I just finished AAI2 and already bought the Apollo Trilogy. Damn, Ace Attorney really hooked me so bad.
Damn, Gura's really graduating from Hololive... and the fact that her reason was due to disagreements with management and the company's direction just makes the whole thing feel iffy. You can even hear it in her voice—she sounds like she's holding back tears :( What the hell is going on with Cover???? I wonder if this is the end of the Hololive era, at least in the English sphere. Shame that 4chan is down, I really wanted to see the shitstorm in /vt/.
Been replaying FE PoR and I seriously can't stress enough how much I freaking love the worldbuilding—especially how they handle the war themes. The characters just act like real people and there’s so much raw emotion packed in.
It's honestly really funny when people get hysterical or super reactionary about incest in media. Like yeah, incest is creepy, but it’s not this hardcore fetish like people assume. It’s honestly tame, it’s like entry-level taboo/transgressive genre/fetish content. If you can stomach violence and horror, surely you can stomach incest even if you're not into it.
Also, I just wrote some headcanon about Sakiko (Avemuji)—feel free to read it if anyone who likes Avemuji is interested!
I also just bought Lao Gan Ma chili oil (black bean & chili crisp flavor), and people weren’t lying—it is FREAKING GOOD. I legit got addicted and even ate it straight from the jar LOL. To me, the black bean version is best used as an ingredient or condiment for stir-fry dishes, while the chili crisp one works better as a topping or dipping sauce. Definitely going to buy again, but I think I’ll stick to the chili crisp version since it’s my absolute favorite lol.
I lowkey want to re-read Citrus. I used to dislike it because it felt so melodramatic, but now I kinda want to give it another shot. There must be a reason why it was so well-loved by JP yuri fans. My memory of it is a bit hazy, though.

Friday, 4 April 2025 05:14Orz, sorry for not updating—I’ve been busy these past few weeks and had to help my family with a lot of stuff. Man, lately, my motivation for writing has just disappeared... I feel like I’m not motivated to do anything.
Also, I just finished playing Ace Attorney: Investigations! It was such a good game, however, I feel like the final case dragged on too long. I certainly didn't expect the twist that Shih-na was actually Calisto Yew, lol. Also, I totally ship Lang x Edgeworth. Tbh, I prefer their dynamic over Narumitsu.
I also replayed Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance because it’s been 10 years since I last played it. I was in the mood for a medieval JRPG with political intrigue. Reyson is used heron goods lol.
As for Avemuji, the last episode was a great closure, though I felt like episode 12 was already a solid ending. Still, I’m glad they got a sequel in production. I do wonder how the story will turn out, though, since the lead writer, Yuniko Ayana, left Bandori… I’m a little worried after reading the director’s comments. It feels like he’s just changing things on a whim. Hope he doesn’t ruin UiSaki.
Also, I’m disappointed with the Switch 2 Direct. No Monolith Soft games, and most of the new releases didn’t really interest me. I’ve always been indifferent to FromSoft games in general, but seeing the Switch 2 game prices is just ridiculous. What the hell is Nintendo thinking, pricing games at $80–90?! Nobody likes that, especially when the Switch 2 itself is already quite expensive by their standards. Also, I hate the whole Game Card situation—it combines the worst aspects of digital and physical gaming. Seriously, if this becomes normalized, I might just quit gaming or resort to pirating. Anyway, I feel like I should invest in a PC for emulation and Steam discounts…
I also hate seeing people asking for an Xenoblade 2 remake. XB2 has aged like fine wine and still looks great! Even when it reaches its 10-year anniversary, its graphics and visuals will still hold up. All it needs is a patch for a better tutorial, no need for a full-blown remake. I’d rather Monolith create a new game instead of remaking XB2. Besides, Xenoblade Chronicles X and XB1 actually need remakes since they’re stuck on inaccessible consoles, and their graphics still feel outdated (XCX especially since it was unfinished). Anyway, I hope we get XB4 in the Fall Direct or a new IP from Monolith Soft.

They don’t believe what they're saying; they just get off on that dopamine of getting a high number of engagements & getting paid by Muskrat. I beg people to stop RT-ing or liking blue checkmark accounts regardless of whether you agree with them or they share similar views w/ you.
Especially, it's a fucking joke when I see leftists with blue checkmark account (with hammer & sickle bio), like... why do you guys do that? What are you gaining by supporting Muskcuck financially while pretending to hate Elonshitter?

Friday, 7 March 2025 17:37A bit rambling, but it’s really weird whenever I see Western anime fans wanting more female protagonists or female characters in the spotlight in Japanese media. As someone who has consumed a lot of Japanese media for more than a decade, this has never been an issue for me?
Like, Japan has a lot of media aimed at women, with female characters as the main lead or in the spotlight. But then again, when Westerners say this, it often turns out they consume a lot of fucking shounen genre or animanga series, which are generally aimed at teen boys and have predominantly male casts. It just makes so much sense, lol.
Like, no, for real, I get annoyed whenever people say Japanese media underrepresents women, as if Western media isn’t guilty of the same thing. In fact, I dare say Japanese media is very women-friendly because you can find A LOT of series with majority female casts, female main leads, female perspectives, or those targeted toward women. Shoujo, Yuri, and Josei are right there. Even BL, with all-male casts, is often authored by women and occasionally offers unique perspectives on masculinity/manhood through the lens of women, sometimes even including feminist (A lot of BL omegaverse has this) & homophobia commentary. Like, I’m begging you to please lurk more and explore genres outside freaking shounen and mainstream stuff.
It’s not just that, even most media targeted at male otakus often has a lot of female characters in focus and the spotlight, with many well-written female characters as well!
As an otaku myself who’s mostly into bishoujo/danseimuke media, it’s bizarre whenever I hear Westerners saying, “Japanese media has a woman representation issue.” What do you mean? Anime is overwhelmingly feminine and dominated by female characters, lol.
“But it’s for the male gaze!” Sure, but there’s Shoujo, Josei, and a lot of Yuri authored by women. And even if it’s for the “male gaze” or “aimed at men,” there are still well-written female characters, and these series often focus on women. Don’t get me wrong, I also understand the criticism of male-gazed female characters, and it’s valid if people don’t like it!
But I just don’t like people generalizing entire genres and mediums as trashy just because they cater to specific audiences or dismissing them as “invalid.” Even if you’re not into it, there’s still good work out there in those genres/mediums. For example, I’ve found some compelling queer and feminist-friendly messages in trashy ecchi manga and moe anime aimed at men.
It’s also very ironic when these same people hype up Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Madoka Magica, Gundam Witch from Mercury, Ghost in the Shell, etc., as peak feminist works because they focus on female leads, even though those series are created and written by men and targeted at male demographics. (Nothing wrong with these series, btw, I love them too.)
TL;DR: If you want more women in your animanga, please read/watch works that feature women, are written by women, and are targeted at women. Also, trying to dismiss works by women just because they have a lot of male casts doesn’t make you a feminist, you’re still being sexist by undermining female-authored works, btw.

Maybe it’s because I’m oldies and grew up during the Friendster and MySpace era, making Blogspot sites, writing whatever I wanted because it was the coolest thing ever at the time, and tweaking HTML to make my profile as cute and aesthetic as possible.
Like, the old internet sure had its flaws, but I’d take it any day over the modern internet. At least back then, I had more control over what I wanted to see. Meanwhile, today’s internet just… sucks. Ever since content can became commodified and monetized, people have been churning out controversial opinions and fueling discourse all the time for engagement and clout. It’s so depressing. People chase that dopamine rush from high numbers of retweets, likes, and shares, so they keep drumming up more "provocative" or "controversial" opinions, and the algorithm prioritizes that kind of content because it gets the most engagement.

So far, I recommend dreamwidth if you miss old-school livejournal-style blog!
It has a lot of feature that make it easier for people to interact w/ you. Also, some socmed-like feature w/ customizing ur layout, icon, tag, etc.
Bearblog is also a good alternative if you want more ''secluded'' vibe, also has very simple & minimalistic design. Basically, if you're just there for ''pure'' blogging reasons.
I haven't used it, but according to my friends it much better alternative compared to neocities. Don't use wordpress/blogspot/ big corpo hosted site because they will feed your content to AI or sell your data.

it's veneering into RPF territory and personally I never into idol/seiyuu shipping. like I'm just not into RPF shipping lol

I trust indie more because they have less chance to lie about their own sexuality.

Thursday, 6 February 2025 14:17I think people need to learn to accept that sometimes, a subset of groups they don’t like might enjoy or latch onto their favorite series. Instead of doing mental gymnastics like "Uwaah, why are chuds liking this series despite it being woke?"—it would be better to just not care about it.
If homophobic people can still enjoy BL and yuri, what makes you think that just because a series is "woke/queer/progressive," chuds won’t latch onto it if it happens to appeal to their tastes? I've seen plenty of right-wingers enjoying Disco Elysium, for example.
Not to mention, there are also leftists who enjoy works created by conservative authors or works that clearly have pro-right-wing ideologies. People need to understand that sometimes, others can enjoy certain media even if its message or creator’s views oppose their own. It's normal & very common to a lot of people.
And trust me, that doesn’t mean they’re ontologically evil or secretly support the ideology present in those fictional works or being bigot. If a piece of media is good and appeals to someone’s tastes, they’ll like it regardless of the political ideology behind it or the beliefs of its author.
I’m also not a fan of the whole "this work is woke/conservative, so there’s no way chuds/wokies will like it" argument because, most of the time, it’s not even sincere. People just want to "own" the side they’re against in the culture war rather than actually caring about the media itself.
I see this a lot: the woke side tries to justify their favorite media as "woke and gay," only for it to have a pro-imperialism ideology and being a straight because they dislike that chuds like their favorite media. Meanwhile, the chud side tries to justify their favorite media as "based and redpilled," even though it promotes anti-capitalism and anarcho-socialist ideas because they also hate that wokies liking their favorite media.
Honestly, it just comes off as so damn annoying. Just enjoy the series within your own circles/terms and stop caring about which opposite side is latching onto it. You don’t need to make convoluted reasons why the series aligns with your ideology (it doesn't). I promise you'd be much better off mentally if you stopped giving a shit & it's not healthy, man.
Like, literally just block people and also learn to accept that you can enjoy media that doesn’t align with your values/ideology—and that’s fine. You’re not ontologically evil, I promise. Instead of trying to justify why *insert work/media* aligns with your views, just enjoy it for what it is.
The last part is more of a vent because I’m so tired of seeing people call certain games "communist" when you literally play as a freaking imperialist meritocracy emperor. *cough* FE3H *cough*

I am genuinely pissed off and...so fucking tired
why big company need to shove AI at anything?
it's already bad that wordpress letting bot in to gives false engagement, (i keep seeing notification on my blog about random account that Definitely A Bot, liking my post out of nowhere & they aren't even my intended audience)
fuck this shit.
fuck tumblr too, but i cannot quit tumblr because i still like the community there, not as worse like twitter still....but prob i just reblog shit there.
anyway I will use this dreamwidth as my blog because i cannot trust any company and the fact there's no a single good sustainable blogging site is such fucking horseshit.
Microblogging and social media truly kill blogging.
I already archiving a lot of writing in wordpress here. thanks god i dont write that much.
Dreamwidth might not be perfect, and i dislike how there's no image hosting but anyway it's better alternative than other sites. i have zero braincell to make neocities.
I was planning to use this DW for archiving my fangirling and hc...but guess that was thwarted and I already make new dw dedicated to that.

Tapi, dikali ini I will try properly explain my thought (sekalian belajar menulis lagi hehehe).
Sesuai judulnya kalau gue lagi ngalamin burn out ke games live service atau game yang kontennya dibuat sebagai service aka incomplete games (contoh : Game Online, Gacha, mobage dan tetek bengeknya)
Akhir-akhir ini lagi banyak banget mobage or gacha yang rilis dan keliatan menarik semua! kaya Path to Nowhere ( *uhuk* gue enjoy fanart lesbongnya *uhuk*) , Reverse1999, GFL : Exilium, dan AK Endfield. tapi sayang meski keliatan bagus gue sama sekali ga hype dan biasa aja, kaya udah burn out banget ? apalagi pas tau kalau itu mobage dan gacha.

After watching a recent episode, I feel the plot of gwitch is..late to advance? Like this is already half of 2nd cour?
I didn't like the pacing from the start because the first cour focused on dueling and slice of life, and the second cour immediately delved into heavy politics....like with lacking build up. "inb4 the Plant Quetta shit"
yeah after like 9-10 episode of slice of life and dueling lol. and no I'm aware they already laid the foundation for Aerial and such but I am specifically talking about how I dislike the way G-witch handles the pacing.
I don't mind if they really want to focus on heavy politics, but the buildup is really lacking, so it feels like they have to rush the pace.

As you can see from the title I suffer from mobage fatigue, honestly' it’s really starting to make me hesitant to play. For instance, I haven’t login or playing AK for more than a month despite i am religiously playing it and always login every day.
